More than 1700 secondary school students visited the IT Sligo on Wednesday for Open Day 2014.

From Omagh to Castlerea, they came by the busload  to get a proper insight into what the Institute has to offer. There were workshops and exhibition stands spanning more than sixty degree and diploma programmes. These ranged from a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts to a Master of Arts in Leadership in Early Childhood Care and Education – the only Masters programme of its kind on the island of Ireland.

Kerry gaelic footballer Colm ‘The Gooch’ Cooper was also on campus for Open Day.  He was acting as Youth Ambassador for AIB. The bank officially opened its new student branch on campus this week.
