Faith Development

The development of faith among the student body is a primary concern of the Chaplaincy. As a team, the Chaplaincy prays together for and aims to provide enriching prayer experiences for the IT Sligo community.

Alpha – The Alpha faith exploration programme gives a basic introduction to the Christian faith. Its usually run in November and December.

Student Retreat – 6 prayer guides are available for one week during term. These are aimed to guide Students in deeper and more meaningful forms of prayer e.g. Praying with the Bible.

Distribution of St. Brigid’s Crosses and Rosaries – The Chaplaincy will distribute St. Brigid’s crosses on February 1st and Rosary Beads are distributed occasionally to students in IT Sligo.
