Teachers Outgoing

Welcome note to Outgoing Erasmus Staff

Dear Colleague

Congratulations on your interest in Teaching Mobility which offers many benefits at a personal and professional level. You are probably familiar with the Erasmus Programme with many students studying abroad in Partner colleges.

As every student cannot take part in this programme, our students benefit from Internationalisation at Home by learning from Teachers who have taken part in a Teaching mobility abroad.

Visiting a partner institution on a Teaching Mobility is very important and adds greatly to the Institutes International Profile and quality of education. Teachers have an opportunity to teach in a Partner Institution for a minimum of 5 hours. Partner colleagues are very happy to discuss teaching knowledge and experiences, new teaching methods, programme contents and can visit our Irish students.

Partner students are interested in hearing about IT Sligo and benefit by listening and discussing views outside their regular schedules. If you are an experienced teacher on teaching mobility, why not take another colleague with you on your next International teaching mobility trip! Please find attached some useful information which will help you during your visit and the documents you will need to fill in.

All the best,

International Officer international.office@itsligo.ie
