The Sports Scholarship Application Form is currently under review and the new on-line version should be available on the website by the end of May.  Interested applicants should then complete the on-line application form.

ITSligo Sport Scholarship Brochure 2012 – 2013

IT Sligo is offering a Sports Scholarship Scheme aimed to assist talented student athletes reach their sporting potential. If you are a keen sportsperson competing at an elite level, we want to hear from you.

Under the scheme up to 20 scholarships and bursaries are awarded each year. The Gold Scholarship Award for 2012 was €1,750. In the current economic climate that’s something to take seriously, isn’t it?

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 27th September 2013.

 

About the Scheme

The Sports Scholarship Programme is designed to nurture talented sports people who are prepared to make the commitment to the IT Sligo sports clubs in their chosen discipline. If successful, you will also have to balance this with your studies.

This means that you will be expected to represent IT Sligo at third level competitions while satisfying academic requirements.

The overall aim of the scheme is to recruit, manage and develop players/athletes with exceptional ability so as to position IT Sligo as a premier centre of sporting performance.

Sports Scholarships are awarded for a period of one year, but may be renewed for up to a maximum of 4 years. Sport Travel Bursaries are also available to students competing at national and international levels.

You will also receive mentoring support, training guidance and other value-added support as a scholarship recipient.
