Flipping the lens a normative needs assessment of students supports and needs from ITS staff perspectives | Supervisor | A qualitative project gathering data on staff members of students required supports and services. This project is gathering data from staff members across the institute by means on online teams interviews | 01-OCT-21 | 14-SEP-22
Exploring definitions of Mental Health & Establishing Validated Assessment Tools for a Mental Health Situational Analysis amongst Student Populations within the 3rd Level Setting. | PI | Overall research statement: This research project will act as baseline for establishing students views of what they perceive mental health to mean to them. It will also identify potential supports and challenges students face in relation to their mental health by placing their voice as a central focus in this student-centred critical participatory action research (CPAR) project. The project also envisages to generate appropriate data collection tools on both mental health perceptions and for conducting annual situational analysis of mental health across the three CUA sites on an annual basis within GMIT, LyIT & ITS. The research design focuses strongly around the recently published National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework (DFHERIS, 2020a) https://hea.ie/assets/uploads/2020/10/HEANSMHS-Framework.pdf . | 01-APR-21
Identifying perceived health assets and challenges within their communities - a youth perspective | Supervisor | This project partnered with Foroige, Ireland's largest youth organisation in gathering young people's views of their own communities health assets and challenges | 02-APR-20 | 25-SEP-21 |
