European Studies and German
Interactive and 'active' methods of teaching and learning are used to introduce students to EU institutions and policies. An EU Simulation involving all the Year groups ( Years 1, 2 and 3) takes places each semester in The Clarion Hotel as part of the teaching and learning in these modules. Ongoing research is being conducted into this method of teaching and learning 

Study trips to political institutions ( Dublin, Brussels and Strasbourg) feature as part of these programmes also.
The 'Stammtisch' concept is used to bring German speakers and German learners together on a regular basis during the semester.
