Biography

I am a feminist sociologist and lecturer in Social Research and Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences, IT Sligo. I teach a number of modules across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes including 'Introduction to Sociology', 'Sociology 2', 'Gender and Sexuality' 'Social Science Research Methods' and 'Dissertation'. Having supervised a number of Masters and PhDs, my research interests are in narrative inquiry; qualitative methodology; feminist theory; critical weight studies; and gender and social care. I welcome inquiries from incoming Masters and PhD students with these general interests. .
