IT Sligo Students’ Union and USI Hold Local Grant & Accommodation Information Evenings
IT Sligo Students’ Union, in conjunction with the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), will hold a special information session on student grants and accommodation in IT Sligo this month.
The grant and accommodation information session will take place on Thursday 11 August next at 8.00pm and is aimed at students, and the families of students, who are either returning to or starting college this year.
This event will provide local residents with the opportunity to find out everything they need know about the student grants system in Ireland and have their questions answered about student accommodation. Speakers from the USI will be on hand to offer advice to students and answer any questions on grant entitlements that they may have.
Free practical help will also be available to students or parents, who may need assistance filling out the relevant application forms.
Grant application forms are now downloadable from www.studentfinance.ie and will also be available at the local grant information session.
James Dillon, President of IT Sligo Students’ Union said: “We would encourage all local students, who are uncertain about their eligibility for a student grant, or are uncertain about how to apply, to come to this event. Students’ Union representatives will be happy to answer any questions they may have and guide them through the grant application process.”
