Students, graduates and job seekers have the opportunity to browse new job opportunities from the comfort of their smartphone or home using the Institute’s new Online Careers Fair, which is now ‘live’.
The online tool, which is free of charge, provides ‘visitors’ with real time fingertip access to “exhibitor” companies without even having to step outside home, college or workplace.
The fair spans a range of industry sectors, including, science, technology, computing, business and engineering.
“It’s also is an opportunity for companies to interact with potential new recruits and assess the overall knowledge and personal qualities of people who are about to enter the jobs market,” says Deborah Seddon, who is Careers Officer at IT Sligo.
The online careers fair is aimed at graduates, third-level students and other job seekers. Anyone anywhere can visit the fair by using the internet.
As well interacting with companies, ‘visitors’ can also watch two online presentations:
- November 30th: Claire Costello from Eir will deliver a presentation about progression options within the company
- December 1st: Sinead D’Arcy – Jameson Graduate Programme Manager – will give a presentation entitled: ‘How to build your personal brand on Social Media’.
IT Sligo’s Online Careers Fair will run until December 18th.
