Sligo native Keith Hopper, who lectures Literature and Film Studies for Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education and for St. Clare’s College, Oxford, will give a public lecture IT Sligo on Monday 15 February . The lecture will be based on Flann O’Brien’s “The Third Policeman”. Keith is the author of Flann O’Brien: A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Post-modernist (revised edition 2009) and general editor of ‘Ireland into Film (2001-07)’, a series of twelve books on literary adaptations. Recent and forthcoming publications include articles on Joyce and Yeats, and chapters in books on Neil Jordan, Flann O’Brien, and Aidan Higgins.
