Some of the country’s most exciting and successful companies are to share their knowledge and experiences at a special event celebrating regional businesses at IT Sligo this Thursday (April 29th).
Founding members from Sligo company Verus Precision and Donegal Rapeseed Oil will inspire an audience of business people and start-up owners by telling their success stories, while giving advice on how to overcome any potential challenges. Further companies will be confirmed closer to the time.
Special guest speaker is Gillian Nelis, Managing Editor of The Sunday Business Post who will bring a national perspective to the event, which is based on the concept of “Backing Brave”. It is being hosted by IT Sligo, in association with AIB on Wednesday, April 29th in IT Sligo’s Hume Hall.
A panel discussion including Ms Nelis, IT Sligo President Professor Vincent Cunnane and Ken Burke, Head of Business Banking, AIB will be chaired by Austin O’Callaghan, Communication Manager at IT Sligo.
AIB and IT Sligo are proud to be associated with the event which is celebrating the brave Irish start-ups that are helping drive our economy forward.
IT Sligo President Professor Vincent Cunnane said that regional development continues to be a key pillar of IT Sligo’s mission. He said: “We support regional enterprise across a range of programmes – especially in cooperation with Enterprise Ireland through their New Frontiers Programme which is delivered in partnership with Letterkenny. At this Backing Brave event we will showcase successful start-ups to learn from them and ideally replicate their success.”
