Dr Breandán Mac Conamhna, former Director of IT Sligo, recently launched his book ‘The Belderrig Curragh and Its People’. This account of a unique seagoing craftalso contains a wealth of information on the archaeology, history, sociology, ecology and culture of north Mayo. The book was launched at the Knocknarea Arena in IT Sligo and attended by three generations of Belderrig natives.
