Next week is Physical Activity & Health Week on campus at IT Sligo. The week is organised by the Institute’s Sports Development Officer with the support of IT Sligo students.
The following programme of events have also been organised for the week and all staff and students at the Institute are invited to get involved.
Monday 20th
· 12noon -3pm : Public Health & Health Promotion Students, display stands in the main concourse.
· 6pm-8pm: Soccer tournament seven-a-side on Astro pitch, cost €14 per team with cash prize winners takes all. Mixed tournament. Email Emma mullin.emma@nullitsligo.ie
Tuesday 21st
· 1pm-2pm: Carers Association talk and awareness of the Dare 2 care in Lecture Theatre A0005
· 6pm: Free Body Conditioning class in the Knocknarea Arena.
Wednesday 22nd
· 1pm-2pm: Talk by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. Lecture Theatre A0005

Defibrillator Training & Cardiac First Response, course for students in conjunction with the Students’ Union. Course held in Students Services Centre.
Thursday 23rd
· 1pm-2pm: Olympic Handball tournament and show case match at Knocknarea Arena, Olympic Handball Ireland vs. IT Sligo Handball; Email Robert s00114436@nullmail.itsligo.ie
· 8 pm – 10 pm: Taster session open to everyone.
Staff and Students of IT Sligo will also only have to pay €1 per session in the Knocknarea Arena during Physical Activity & Health Week.
