Update: 29-3-17 Una Mannion has won the Hennessy Irish Literary Award for Poetry, a superb achievement.

Una Mannion, lecturer in Performing Arts has been shortlisted for the prestigious Hennessy Literary Awards for 2017. The winners of the 2017 awards will be announced at a gala ceremony on March 28th at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (Irish Times article)

In 2015 she won the Yeats Society’s Seamus Heaney memorial poetry award. And again this year she won the Cúirt fiction prize with ‘The Bright Lake’ short story. This follows on wins last year in the Ambit short fiction competition and second prize in the Dermot Healy International poetry award.
