Watch the skies over IT Sligo at 1.30pm this Thursday when 400 balloons will be released by the Sligo Rover’s player, Raffele Cretaro, as part of a student charity initiative.
Third year marketing students are organising a balloon race as part of their non-profit marketing module.
All the money raised will be donated to the Laura and Lynn Children’s Hospice Foundation which has just recently opened its first house in Ireland, providing aid to children with life threatening conditions.
