Our practical hands-on work placements give students the skills they’ll need in the working world. We have strong connections to industry giving you the opportunity to work on real projects for a variety of organisations. We want to challenge you to reach your full potential in our supported learning environment and leave as a proud, confident graduate.

The Department of Business offers a variety of entry routes to a BBS (Hons) degree, allowing direct entry to our 4 year programme, or via the ‘ladder system’ at levels 6 or 7, with progression to an add-on year to complete the level 8 qualification. This provides flexibility in your approach to study and ensures that you can achieve your qualification in a manner that meets your needs. We also offer programmes that lead to a BA (Hons) qualification in 3 years. These are in the areas of Accounting, Business and ICT and Insurance Practice.

Business appeals to a broad range of students who may have an interest in how organisations work, the economy and business environment, accounting, finance or enterprise. If you are innovative or creative and can use your skills for problem solving or decision making, you will enjoy the challenges and dynamic learning environment of a Business programme.
