Innovation Centre company scoops national title

A company located in the Innovation Centre at IT Sligo Verus Precision won an award for business start-ups at the National Enterprise Awards.

 The award announcement was made by the Minister for Trade and Commerce, Billy Kelleher T.D., at the National Enterprise Awards in the Shelbourne Hotel, which was organised by the County and City Enterprise Boards to celebrate the achievements of Ireland’s micro-enterprises.

Verus Precision was set up in 2008 by Andrew Hodson, Des Forde and Michael Nugent. It provides complete product solutions to large indigenous and multi-national companies, delivering project management, product design, moldflow analysis and metrology services. The company has already built an impressive client list, comprising national and international pharmaceutical, medical and automotive companies.

The CEO of Sligo County Enterprise Board, John Reilly, congratulated the company, saying: “Although Verus Precision was only set up two years ago, it has quickly gained a reputation as a world-class product design and project management company. With a growing client base and plans to expand its operation, the company is an inspirational ambassador for Sligo enterprise.”
