IT Sligo will host the 34th International Manufacturing Conference (IMC) at the end of August.
The two-day event is being co-ordinated by the Department of Mechanical & Electronic Engineering and the PEM Technology Gateway at IT Sligo, and will take place on Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday August 31st, 2017.
The IMC conference promotes specific innovations in manufacturing technologies and is an excellent opportunity for networking between researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators as well as government and funding agencies.
The theme of this year’s Conference is Precision Engineering and Manufacturing , which will explore and discuss some emerging technologies and practices that will enable the sector to forge new frontiers in design and manufacturing.

The International Manufacturing Conference (IMC) is one of the longest running conferences in this part of the world and is organised by the Irish Manufacturing Council – a grouping of all third level institutions on the island who are engaged in manufacturing education and research. The conference is held in a different location in Ireland each year, and attracts delegates from all over Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
