More than 100 graduates from the Creative Design course at IT Sligo gathered in the Clarion Hotel, Sligo recently to mark the 21st anniversary of the course.
The Course, which was formerly called Industrial Design, was established at the Institute in 1989.
IT Sligo Creative Design lecturer David Roberts was instrumental in the development of the Course at the Institute and was one of the main organisers of the 21st Anniversary celebrations.
Following the event, he said: “Graduates from Industrial Design, or Creative Design as it is now called, have gone on to great things in their professional lives and it was wonderful to meet so many of them again and to hear about the varied nature of their career paths.”
“The course has a record of producing highly skilled graduates that go on to reach the top of their chosen fields in various areas of the design field. IT Sligo is very proud of their achievement and the 21st anniversary of the course at the Institute was timely opportunity to regroup, and to pay tribute to the people who have helped the course develop down through the years – staff and students alike.”
