IT Sligo President joins Enterprise Ireland Education Mission to the US this September.
IT Sligo’s International Office is delighted to announce IT Sligo President Terri Scott will be part of an Enterprise Ireland Education Mission with the Minister for Education, Mary Coughlan, TD from September 26th – 30th. Destinations on this Education Mission include Boston and Chicago.
The objective of this mission will be to develop partnerships with suitable US universities / colleges; to create awareness of IT Sligo in the US; and most importantly to attract prospective students keen to spend part or all of their studies in Ireland, preferably Sligo.
The Department of Humanities and our Online and Distance Learning (ODL) departments already have active links with US universities. IT Sligo’s International Office is already very active in promoting IT Sligo to prospective international students in the EU, US and further afield. Each year, we have a wonderfully vast and diverse International Student population, who actively contribute and enrich all aspects of IT Sligo’s academic and extra-curricular activities.
Many of our International Students have remained in touch with IT Sligo over the years; this alumni network is hugely beneficial to both current and prospective International Students.
IT Sligo’s International Office also maintains a strong relationship with our graduates working abroad. Many of IT Sligo’s alumni are working in key financial institutions in the United States such as Morgan Stanley, where they are putting their IT Sligo qualifications to excellent use.
