IT Sligo is delighted to host a conference on the potential uses of wood energy this coming Friday May 13th, 2011.

Wood energy is a sustainable, local resource, which can be utilised by very effectively to provide heat, steam and power. The purpose of this conference is to promote the use of wood energy to potential users in the region and beyond. The agenda has been designed to answer all the questions which potential users might have on the subject.

Areas to be covered include:

* the availability of wood energy in the region,
* the availability of wood fuel in the region
* the quality of wood fuel and how it is monitored and guaranteed,
* the purchase and installation of wood fuel boilers
* financial feasibility studies
* energy supply contracts
* a case study from the region

TARGET AUDIENCE

This conference is targeted at all potential users of wood energy, including facilities managers in industry, hotels and leisure, public buildings, education, health.
