IT Sligo Performing Arts students present ‘Live Art in Sligo town centre on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Live Art is made up of individual installations and performances created by the Institute’s actors and designers in their third year of training.
Twenty-three pieces will be presented across the creative triangle (three venues) in Lower Quay Street, Sligo. The venues are: the Factory Performance Space, The Fridge and the Nest.
The work will explore body identity, human interaction with technology, the loss of nature and sensory experience, isolation and explorations of witnessing.
Live Art is free and open to the public from 6:30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, November 14th. Visitors will be invited to experience and participate in embodied performances and installations outside the traditional spaces of galleries and theatre.
Stewards will be on site to guide audiences to the various locations.
The event will be launched at a wine reception in the foyer of the factory performance Space at 6.30 pm.
Admission is free.
