Over 100 Companies At Sligo Careers Fair
Over 100 companies will be offering careers advice and hundreds of job opportunities at IT Sligo’s biggest ever Careers Fair on Thursday 10th October. AbbVie, Pramerica, Aurivo and Intel are just some of the large multi-nationals in attendance.
The event, which will run from 11am to 3pm in the main campus building, will span a range of industry sectors including Engineering, Computing, Digital Technology, Accounting and Science. They will also include local companies both large and small across many sectors, making this one of the most impressive careers fair in the Northwest region.
While the Careers Fair will be of strong interest to students and graduates, the event is open to the general public. It will also give visitors an opportunity to explore the many part-time and full-time courses available at IT Sligo both on campus and online.
Apart from the exhibitor career stands, the day will provide visitors with the opportunity to enhance their CV at a free drop-in clinic. There, some of the country’s top employers will give advice on what will make your CV stand out from the crowd.
A range of exhibitor talks will also be taking place in the Aurivo Auditorium between 11am-3pm and A0005 between 11am-2pm.
Exhibitors will be positioned along the main concourse and around into the business corridor. The exhibitor list by industry sector is attached (CF-S-10-10-19).
This fair is open to everyone and we would encourage you all to take some time out of your day to engage with the companies to find out about their business and the opportunities they have available. Companies will have graduate positions (for final year students), internships and part-time jobs. It is never too early to start thinking about your future career – so use this unique opportunity to find out about the opportunities that are out there.
For the first time visitors will be able to use the IT Sligo ‘online’ careers service to engage in pre-event research. Information about the exhibiting organisations and details of current vacancies which they will be recruiting for on the day, is available. Students and graduates are invited to register/login via: https://itsligo.jobteaser.com and search ‘Careers Fair Exhibitor’ in the company field to find out more about the organisations visiting IT Sligo on 10th October.
Recruiters will host CV Clinics in the library for the duration of the event. So bring your CV along and drop into to one of these clinics to receive some expert advice on how to ensure it is ‘industry ready’. There is no need to pre book a space at these clinics, just call over to one of the rooms and wait your turn. Schedule (to date) attached.
A range of exhibitor talks will be taking place in the Aurivo Auditorium between 11am-3pm and A0005 between 11am-2pm.
