Parents of students studying the Bachelor of Business (Recreation and Leisure) at IT Sligo, visited the Institute recently to mark their competition of a Walking Exercise Programme, which is conducted by the students as part of the first year of the course.
The fitness levels of parents and other participants were put to the test during the 12-week programme, which includes coaching in walking habits and techniques.
The award ceremony included a lap of the 400 metre track followed by the presentation of certificates by lecturer, Kerry Larkin. While studying the Bachelor of Business (Recreation and Leisure) students can attain a range of valuable national and international coaching qualifications.
