LED Lighting & EV Charger – McSharry TRACK – Co. Roscommon
McSharry TRACK started a small business in the early 1970’s in Four Mile House, County Roscommon, buying and selling tractors and agricultural machinery to local farmers. Over time the business grew and today, they are well known all over the Country, supplying both new and used machinery as well as specialising in undercarriage wear parts. They are the exclusive dealer for Kobelco excavators and Berco undercarriage throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The Atlantic Technological University Contract Research Unit (ATU CRU) carried out a review of the energy bills, a walk-through audit and an assessment of potential actions that could reduce their carbon footprint. A lighting survey was included. McSharry’s have a large premises with offices, workshops, a warehouse, and a number of yards. Areas, where carbon savings could be made include a solar PV installation and a switch to electric vehicles (EV).
To support the move to electric vehicles a Smappee EV charging station was installed.
