As this week is Seachtain na Gaeilge, a group of ambitious IT Sligo students are holding an Irish Culture Night in aid of Special Olympics Connaught in the Students’ Services Building from 7:30pm on Tuesday March 15th.
‘Rí Rá agus Ruaille Buaille’ will feature performances from Cosa Beaoga from the All Ireland Talent Show, The Keane Brothers, local storytellers, and fluent Irish speakers amongst others. A sample of Irish foods will be showcased on the night from Source Sligo and a raffle will also be held with great prizes sponsored by local businesses.
Bachelor of Business in Marketing students Aoife Burke, Lauren Cassidy, Caroline Finn, Aidan Kilroy, Annette Lang, Róisín O’Malley and Tara Timlin are putting in a huge amount of effort to ensure the Irish culture night is a massive success for the Special Olympics.
