Important Dates

Family Day: Tuesday 10th September, 4-6pm

Join us with your families for an introduction to the Sligo campus, hear more about the transition to 3rd level and meet your lecturers and student support staff.

On-campus Induction Days: Wednesday 11th September or Thursday 12th September, all day.

#First5Weeks: From 16th September

A programme of activities and events designed to help you settle into college life. Each week has a different theme to highlight the college’s academic, learning and social supports available.

Getting Started

New Student Registration

Here's all the registration information you need to get started at ATU Sligo.



Student Email

(Setup & log in to your ATU account)

Email Address format: studentnumber@nullatu.ie

Password: date of birth in the DDMMYYYY format with ATUS e.g. 131095ATUS.

Moodle

(Available 24 hours after registration)

Moodle is your virtual learning environment . You can access information and resources about your course.

Student Portal

The single space where you can access all your student resources.





Student Cards

You must upload a photo of yourself to get your ATU Student ID Card - this is your ID card for the full period of your studies. Cards will be posted to the address on your student record.

Timetables

Timetables are subject to change and students should check them regularly.

Family Day

When: Tuesday, 10th September, 4-6pm.

Where: Enter at Main reception

We warmly welcome you and your family to attend our Family Day event. The programme includes:

  • Welcome address from Registrar and Vice President of Teaching & Learning
  • Talk on the Transition to 3rd Level – taking you through the emotional and practical side of starting college
  • Meet lecturers from your department who can tell you more about your course and what to expect
  • Meet the student services team who are here to support throughout your studies at ATU
  • Take a tour round campus to help you find your feet

Pre-induction Orientation events

Several groups of students will receive an additional pre-induction orientation session with the relevant student service team. This applies to:

  • International Students
  • Mature Students
  • Students on the HEAR scheme
  • Students in receipt of Access Scholarships and 1916 Bursaries
  • Students on the DARE scheme

These sessions are designed to help answer any questions you might have, advise on common issues and explain the supports that are available as well as helping you get to know the campus.

You will be invited to attend via email and further information will be provided.

On-campus Induction Day Schedules

Your on-campus induction day is a chance to:

  • Meet your lecturers
  • Meet fellow students 
  • Learn more about your course
  • Find out your timetable information
  • Discover the campus
  • Learn what supports are in place for you

Attendance is mandatory for all new students including Transfer and Add-on students.

#First5weeks

Our #First5weeks Welcome Progamme starts in September on the first week of term with the start of lectures and is open to all new and existing students. 

This programme is designed to help you to settle into college life and to make the transition to third-level education easier. Each week we have a different theme to help you discover the college’s academic, learning and social supports available here on campus.
