Students will have an opportunity to sample what IT Sligo has to offer in advance of the CAO Change of Mind deadline this Friday, July 1st at 5:15pm.
The Institute is running daily weekday tours of its campus until Thursday, June 30th (inclusive).
The tours begin at 11:30am each day, and are open to students, mature students and parents.
The 45-minute excursions will begin from the Institute’s main reception and will take in IT Sligo’s three Schools of learning: Business & Social Science; Engineering & Design; and Science. The visit will also include the Yeats Library, the Students Services Centre, the new 600-seater student canteen and the sports facilities at the Knocknarea Arena.
There will also be help and advice available for students and their parents on accommodation, support services, fees and grants.
“The aim of the daily tours is to provide valuable insights for prospective students, particularly final year Leaving Certificate students, who are still weighing their final third-level choices,” says Hollie Hastings, who is organising the Institute’s campus tours.
“For many, the tour will provide welcome reassurance that they are on the right track. But more importantly, it should help crystallise the thoughts of those students who are still in two minds about their choice.”
Students have until 5.15pm on Friday, July 1st to make their CAO Change of Mind choices on www.cao.ie.
