The inaugural Quality in Ireland Conference will be hosted in the Clarion Hotel this Friday, March 30th 2012.
This is the first all Ireland conference on Quality and it is designed for people working or interested in Quality, LEAN Six Sigma or continual improvement, in all sectors of the economy.
IT Sligo is delivering courses in quality for twenty five years, longer than any other higher education institute. Lecturer in Quality and organiser of the Conference, Dr Bob Kennedy, said that in times of recession, people always turn to quality;”In the boom times when there’s a push on productivity, people feel they are too busy to be concerned about quality processes, but in times of recession people and organisations rightly become aware again of the need for ensuring that those processes are in place.”
Dr Kennedy said that it’s estimated that 25 per cent of profit in organisations is lost due to staff having to repeat tasks because of the lack of quality processes; “Ensuring that the right processes in place may involve an initial output by organisations, but if they consider what the lack of quality is costing them -the justification is very clear.”
The Quality in Ireland Conference will be hosted at the Clarion Hotel from 9am to 4pm on Friday March, 30th. Conference fee ranges from €30 to €95. To register a place and for further information please visit http://qualityinireland2012.eventbrite.ie
