A photographic exhibition centred on student volunteerism sponsored by Campus Engage, the national network for the promotion of civic engagement in Irish higher education, is on display this week at IT Sligo, near Doppios cafe in the School of Business and Humanities.
The exhibition features profiles of 20 students who have been recognised for their volunteer work in celebration of the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
A fourth year student of Applied Social Studies at IT Sligo, Mark Millar, is one of 20 students featured. Mark is recognised for the work he has done with the Legion of Mary and St Vincent De Paul Society people in the local community.
